The question really doesn't make sense. What is a 'budget' travel item?

Yeah, oddly worded question - are you asking about a low cost item that you might take with you when you travel or an item (in any price range) that you would take with you on a trip when you have a very limited budget?????

Are you, perhaps, conducting some kind of research? If you are, you might want to tell us your purpose.

You are asking the wrong question you can plan a budget friendly trip like some places where travelling is not much expensive, food, accommodation are budget friendly. For example if you are from USA and want to Travel in India that would be your budget friendly trip because 1 US dollar is equal to 65 Indian rupees. Keep only necessary items during trip to prevent hassle, clothes, light weight shoes, accessories that you can wear with multiple dresses, gadgets etc.

You have started a lot of 'What is your favorite . . ." threads without any indication you are going anywhere. So are you perhaps picking our brains for a blog or article or something? Not wrong but it is better to be up front about it.

Agree with the above. I have zero interest in contributing to your article or blog. BTW, I also have zero interest in articles of the "top ten" variety, it's just lazy writing - not even really writing.

If you don't like the question, you don't have to post, people.

"People" are interested in what the OP is up to. Appears, at least to me, to be a freeloader, a species I dislike.

So don't participate. You don't need to be rude about it.

Freeloading is rude (actually also theft, if the freeloader profits from it). I'd like to know whether that is what is happening. If you don't like my posts you don't have to read them....

Well since you haven't contributed anything that the OP can "profit from" you don't need to worry about that.

I don’t like contributing, for free, to somebody’s blog (or whatever) if that person doesn't add value to Fodor’s. Just my preference – I’m not saying what anyone else should do. And BTW, my aversion includes the blogs of people who plan their trips based on extensive input from Fodorites, post their trip reports as personal blogs, and “contribute” to Fodor’s ONLY to provide links to their blogs.
JMO.

Of course, some people who have blogs are also frequent and thoughtful contributors to Fodor’s. To me, that’s something very different, andI have no problem with that approach.

In any case, I’m willing to entertain the slim possibility that the OP had a different purpose and to give him/her the chance to explain.
