December honeymoon - where to go??
I'm in the process of planning my honeymoon - last 2 weeks in December.
In the event that southern Europe (southern Spain, southern Italy) is out because it will be very mild - not warm enough to spend a lot of time outdoors and limited daylight, I'm looking for other options.
Ideas??

Hi DS,
I guess it depends what you want - cities? beach? mountains? safari?
We were in the Maldives at the end of December last year and the weather was hot (30deg). We spilt our time between 2 different islands to have a change and spent our time relaxing, eating and diving - great! They have larger islands with lots to do or very small "no shoes" islands where you really just chill out and snorkle and dive. It is a truely beautiful place and would be fantastic for a honeymoon. I can't wait to have enough money to return!!

We would like to ideally spend time chillin, relaxing (beach) and some time seeing new places and doing touristy things. Snorkelling, diving is a no-no for my SO ...
We're thinking Thailand/Singapore/Malaysia for now...

Sorry for the late reply as you have probably decided by now, but New Zealand is fabulous for sightseeing / scenic stuff (going there shortly to get married and honeymoon, so can't recommend enough!) - just read some of the other threads - and Thailand is fab for beach / different culture stuff. We stayed on Phuket Island three years ago in Karon Beach - lovely resort with plenty of restaurants and bars and either side two very different resorts - Kata very quiet and peaceful with some good snorkelling, Patong just mad as you like with Go-go shows, lots of clubs and full on entertainment. Perfect to be near to both sides of the coin but in a middle of the road resort we felt! Also, great boat trips to nearby Phi Phi and such.
