Christmas Vacation

I'm trying to plan a Christmas beach getaway. 2 girls, mid 20s, no kids and looking for somewhere safe to travel. We are looking for an all inclusive hotel. Some place with nightlife, out door activities, spas and a beautiful beach in walking distance. I was told by a different ppl its not a good time to go to Mexico, I was thinkin Jamaica or the Caribbean.

Christmas is "high Season" in most warm weather beach areas" so expect to pay the highest room rates of the year. Also many hotels/resorts have minimum stay requirements so factor that into your plans and budget.

Need more info from you to be of any real help:

Where are you flying from?

What are your actual travel dates?

What is your budget for airfare and hotel?

Lots of All Inclusives in Cancun, Cozumel and Playa del Carmen (all in Mexico), the Dominican Republic and Jamaica.

Mexico is fine in the tourist towns, your information from "different people" is incorrect. I'd suggest Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Puerto Vallarta, or Cabo San Lucas all as perfect possibilities for exactly what you describe. Also likely cheaper than the Caribbean.

For Jamaica, I suggest Negril.

If you are going Jamaica then Montego Bay, Negril and Ocho Rios will be the best place for you to stay.

I've most recently been to both Puerto Vallarta and Negril. I travel solo and in generally feel much safer in Mexico than in Jamaica.
