I will be going for my honeymoon in early Dec 2007 and have decided on Europe. Problem is we are not sure where in Europe especially since it is December. We enjoy the cool weather but if things are closed then doesnt make much sense to go there. So really not sure which places to choose. I've been to London, Paris, Cologne, Venice, Florence, Tuscany (Siena), Rome. We're looking for something that has beautiful views of the sea, some nice sights-lakes, gardens, castle, or any other sights, some good shopping. At first we were thinking of doing the Tuscan regions, Amalfi Coast and Isle of Capri and perhaps greece mykanos or santorini. Really open to any combination of ideas and was hoping with all your knowledge we could get a sense of what would be a good itinerary of locations. We have probably about 2-3 weeks so appreciate any ideas you can share. Thks so much for your help.

Have you ever thought about the Greek island such as Corfu? Or as you've mentionned before Santorini.There isn'st lakes around but you have volcanos with is not so bad either...

but what is the weather like in italy/greece in Dec? I will be going on my honeymoon in Dec '08 and desperately want to go to Italy and/or Greece, and was thinking that we'd probably have to postpone till may...

well if you are saying you enjoy the cool weather i think you'd be ok. the year round weather there is always about 50+ degrees fahrenheit (at the coldest, according to my greek coworker) on the islands so you might be ok. Not sure if its worth staying in an sea front room though, if its not really sunny weather. Maybe you could combine Greece and Turkey - would probably be about the same temp.

Have you considered something like Dubai?
