Calling cell to cell
Have many friends in Europe and need to know what is the cheapest way to call from my cell phone in the U.S. to a cell in the Netherlands. I have an at&t card plan - but am not sure if the rate I have will be higher when I am calling from a cell phone. If anyone knows, that would be great.

I am not sure about the Netherlands but in Italy the cell phone owners do not pay for incoming calls as we do here in the US with our cell phones.
4holdings, contact AT&T to get the correct info regarding using your cell phone with your AT&T card.

Check with your cell phone company. Ours (Altell) has a special plan we signed up for, costs like $3 a month. This gives a cheaper rate to call Europe. We have given up our land line and all we have is the cell. This plan makes it great to stay in touch with relatives overseas.
Also check out Skype. They have some sort of phone thing also. I have never used that, but we skype via computer for free.

Skype really is great. We use it all the time. As noted, if you call computer to computer it's free. If you call from your computer to a land line in Europe it's .02/min; if to a cell phone it's .23/min
