Birth Certificate Services

My wife's birth certificate is an "original copy" but does NOT have a raised seal or water mark. So it looks like I need an emergency service to get a raised seal copy pronto for admission to Bermuda.

Any recommendations? I'm thinking of using US Birth Certificate -dot- com.

Any experiences you could share. Thanks.

Time is of the essence!

In which state was she born?

You have to write the Bureau of Vital Statistics for the state she was born and request a copy with raised seal. There is probably a fee involved, so I would call to inquire and ask about their expedite policy.

I did a google search for you -- here's a place to start: http://www.vitalchek.com/?clicked=1

Thanks for the replies. I was able to locate a very well web-enabled site for the Vital Records office of the State of Wisconsin. (PDF Forms you can fill in on your screen and then fax.)

Fees, time frames, and customer service were all very good.

Now my darling can take her documents and get a Passport!

You have to have a raised seal and/or watermark to get a passport. And, they do check. We ran into this getting my dd her 1st passport. The lady behind the counter went over her birth certificate with a fine tooth comb!
