So many Fodorites seem to be missing? Are you one of them?
And to make this travel tip related, share a travel tip.
I'm still starrs.
Pack an extra duffle bag or tote on a trip to bring back souvenirs. I move dirty clothes or read guidebooks to the duffle and use the "new" space in the suitcase to bring back souvenirs.

I am one who likes to travel and if you look at my user name you can probably figure out my old user name. It is a sad state of affairs but if you look at the us board before 8 am you will find pages of spam/ad posts that they can not seem to keep off but people like me who had a computer die and the email corrupted can no longer sign on.

Starrs I'm still the same user as always but came to say, I too use a packable extra bag. I bought a few from ebags years ago and love them. I tried to buy new ones but they are no more.
I always carry a few of those foot peds (free when you try on shoes) in case I get deodorant/powder/dust on my clothes. A few swipes easily remove it.

If you are on a long trip in the US and buy something heavy or fragile, wrap it in your dirty clothes and put in a fixed rate Priority Mail box and mail it back home. Sometimes the package beats you home.

I used to be GBelle and now I’m GBelle2.
When the website changed, I couldn’t log in with the former name so I created a new one. Now they won’t let me into the Lounge
Lounge people: In case you've been wondering ...
My tip:
I generally roll clothes and put them into XL Ziploc bags instead of packing cubes. We reuse the XL bags for travel. However, I also used a zipped case from new sheets to store items in a carry-on when I ran out.

Here’s a tip for the Fodors log in. Go to your profile NOW and make sure your email is current and you know your password.
We like to take bubble wrap (it weighs nothing) to wrap wine bottles and jam jars before slipping them into ziplock bags and burying in our checked bags.
