30th Birthday Girls Trip

My best friend and I looking to have an awesome 30th birthday. It will not be until 2016, but we are trying to budget so we can do something amazing. I am looking for ideas as to where to go/stay/do etc. I know that's pretty general but with 2 years to plan, we can shoot big.

Paris?
Venice/Florence/Rome?
a Caribbean island?
Argentina?
Thailand?
Hawaii?
Mexico?

All would be "amazing" trips.

It would really help people make suggestions if you could give any more information. Are you looking for a city trip? Or you want to relax on the beach? Do you want a foreign country? Or somewhere within your own? What kind of place do you want to stay (budget hotel, apartment/condo, B&B, high-end resort, boutique hotel, etc.)? What interests? Activities? Museums? Historic sights? Cooking school? English-speaking?

@crellston - but that which inspires awe or surprise in you may leave me unmoved.

Very true Thursdaysd. I also feel with the continuing evolution of the English language, the actual definition of those particular words maybe be different from generation to generation ( and possibly between different countries)
