Would a week on each San Andrés and Providencia be too long?
Hi everybody,
I usually like to travel for no longer than two weeks. I have been checking out these two islands and I am fascinated. Would a week on each be too long during June/July? My main interests? Quiet time away from civilization.
Thanks for your time and opinions,
Orlando

They're both nice islands, especially Providencia, but I think a week on each is way too long. I was once "stranded" for eight days on San Andres. There were problems in general at the time with Colombian aviation and the flights in and out were severely limited. (This was years ago, and it was a fluke situation.) It was supposed to be a three-day trip and I got very bored.
Maybe a week total split between the two islands?
Keep in mind that July 20 is Colombia's Independence Day. Lodgings will be full in the days before and after that.
