Visiting northern Pantanal and southern Amazon

Hello,

My husband and I will be visiting Brazil in September 2016 and plan to visit the northern Pantanal near Porto Jofre. We also hope to visit the southern Amazon and have been interested in Crystalino state park/Crystalino lodge as one option. We have approx. 7-10 days total to visit both locations. I am wondering if anyone has taken a tour that combines visits to both the northern Pantanal and southern Amazon and, if so, if you would have recommendations for tour companies? I have found numerous companies that provide tours of the northern Pantanal, but have not located companies that visit the N. Pantanal and southern Amazon in one trip.
Thank you for your consideration and any suggestions you may have!

I don't know what your point is in going to these areas, but 7 days is not sufficient for both when travel to remote areas takes up so much time. Five days would be the minimum for the Pantanal section, of which two would be travel, and a day or so longer would be better.

I would suggest that the most important consideration for the northern Pantanal is the guide, not the tour company. These two have the best reputations and their lifetime of expertise is well worth what they charge for it:

Julinho Monteira

Ailton Lara

Contact Crystalino Lodge directly about transportation to/from, and excursions while there.

Thank you for your reply! That information is very helpful and I will look into both options.

The URL Internet address for Ailton should be www.pantanalnature.com.br

The one given above, without the "Br", sends you to another company.
