Two weeks in Argentina?
My family is considering a trip to Argentina either next August or the one after. We are aware that it will be cold due to the Argentinian winter, but that isn't a problem for us (should it be?). So far, we're considering Buenos Aires, Salta, and Patagonia. Any other places we should see? Any good itineraries for two weeks? Also, where in Patagonia should we go?

For Patagonia you should go to El Calafate to see Perito Moreno glacier and El Chalten for hiking. You can take the All Glaciers boat tour to see other glaciers or can go trekking on the glacier itself.
I've visited there the past two Sept/Oct. and it was chilly, but so gorgeous. One of the guides said it is very rare for the park to ever close due to snow, even in mid-winter.
I think you would be too early for the penguins arrival at Punta Tombo on the coast, but the whales might be at Peninsula Valdes.
Have a great trip - Patagonia is awesome!

NW has a lot to offer you in August instead.... I think that it is perfect for a visit to the Calchaquies Valleys and the Humahuaca Gorge, and you need at least five days.... You would not regret if you take one or two more days....
Wine, food /different flavours), very sunny days, and at midday you can be in t.shirts... In my opinion, you should get some more info and you will finally decide it worths.
