It has been very interesting to me to have read your fist hand experience of Buenos Aires as the mother of an American student located temporarily in this city.
I am so very glad that you had a positive experience and that your daughter is also enjoying her stay. As the mother of children that have also studied abroad, I agree that this is going to be a great plus in her future life.
Indeed Buenos Aires shows evidence of past and present difficulties, I have witness really golden years as I have also let me add lived during golden years in New York City too.
In both cities in different degrees difficulties of all sorts are present. More in Argentina because in my opinion the consequences of bad Government have been sustained for longer periods at a more rapid pace.
I hope the best for your daughter and congratulate you for supporting her in her studies abroad.
