Sao Paolo

I am a senior citizen and will end my cruise in Sao Paolo in October. It will be my first trip to Sao Paolo and am wondering if there are any decent historical museums in the city. I see a Museum of Art and a football(soccer) stadium as recommended spots, but I am not interested in either one.
I planned a three day visit to the city but may cut to just overnight unless I find something to see and do. I would like to see (or do)historical and cultural in the city. Walking all day is not a problem.
Thank you for help.
