Rio or Buenos Aries for Xmas
I will be doing 6 weeks in South America beginning December 18 of this year. Between Rio and Buenos Aries where is the best place to be for Xmas? I do not need off the hook insanity!

When we spent xmas in Buenos Aires a few years ago, the city pretty much closed down over the holiday. Don’t know about Rio.

I would recommend Rio it's a great place , the x-mas vibe is crazy , i was there last year.

I really enjoyed Bogota over Christmas, as well as Medellin, if Colombia is in the itinerary.

Rio by all means
Costa Verde and Copacabana during Christmas are a feast. Rio by all means. You are just going to love and carry the experience of being in Rio for life around Christmas.
