Thanks for the live report from MP. We have canceled our March trip to Cusco/Machu Picchu. However, we will visit Lima for a few days, where I hope things will be calm.

Just returned from 11 days in Peru a bountiful and rich country, great people and an awesome culture. Yesterday in Lima was the only day we saw and heard protestors. Police was well prepared and kept them blocks away from Plaza de Armas in front of the Cathedral and Government buildings. Later this month we understand there will be additional protests.
