Overnight In Titicaca

We are planning on extending our visit to the Puno/Lake Titicaca area. I've read you can schedule an overnight in Amantani with a local family. Can someone refer a trusted tour company to do this? Thanks,

We had a wonderful time in Amantani and highly recommend it! We booked via a travel planner/guide in Cusco - David Cusco - here's his web site

Here's a link to our blog entries from Amantani

kantutalodge.com

best go direct to save I did better lodging

cut out middlemen give more to locals

who usually get less than $1 very sad

some lodgings very rustic put mildly

it is customary to bring a gift to show respect

sports cap school supplies etc.

titicacperu.com

edgaradventures.com

are the top 2 in Puno who do this as far as agents

Prefer Taquile UNESCO World Heritage Island

Awesome weavers cultre views to forever

Take the fast boat out from Puno find someplace

you like give all money to a local to be of maximal service.

Many scammers online never wire money CC/Paypal ok for me

Happy Hunting.

we used the services of giardino tours: http://giardinotours.com/index.php?o...id=387&lang=en

and were very satisfied with their service. They do offer 1 night stays with local families on Amantani, not just the longer tourse. Mail them for more information.
