Oaxaca and Mexico City ..una vez mas!

Hola todos!

We've returned once again to Oaxaca, for seven nights, and then on to Mexico City. Our last visit was three years ago just before COVID exploded. Initial impressions after just 24hours: wow, this place is wonderful, the people, colors, food , mezcal, colonial architecture...

Prices in the Centro have jumped, no surprise. More Americans here, no surprise, I guess some of them are digital nomads. Later this afternoon a big carnival parade begins on the Alcala. Temps last night = sweater weather, Today, mid afternoon, the sun is fierce

A few pics from our hotel below ..

And from the street...

LOL, if that last shot isn't a typical central Oaxaca (City) scene, I don't know what is!

I don't know how this wound up in the South America Forum group. I'm sure some moderator will be along in a second to move it.

I rarely wander through other sections of the forum, but I always enjoy your reports, so I’ll be following along.

Hi mlgb, I think I must have pushed the wrong button... maybe the moderator can move it to the Mexico forum.
