La Despensa - mini GTG

La Despensa, a restaurant in Barracas recently mentioned in this forum, will reopen on Feb. 2, after their holidays.

If Marnie & DH or any other forum members staying at that time in BA wish to try it, we could have a mini-GTG.

Have a great time in our town.

I would prefer going to La Despensa rather than Sottovoce in Puerto Madera. But, my DH & I are booked for Iguazu Falls Feb 2, 3, & 4.(Sigh)

Condu: I'm quite flexible, as far as dates are concerned. I said the restaurant reopens on that date, not that we have to go on that date. Fridays are always bad for me and I prefer dinner to lunch, particularly in the summer.

One of the reasons I posted this is that I don't think I'll be available for the Feb. 15 GTG, as my DW just moved ahead the dates for a trip we are planning (sigh).

So, we could go to La Despensa anytime between Feb. 6 and 11.

How about that?

If you wish, e-mail me to albertovgalloATyahoo.com telling me where I can phone you, when you are in town.

Sounds good to me. I have sent you an email which will provide you with my email address & phone number to the email address that you provided. Well, actually I had to substitute @ for "AT" to make it work.

Don't you mean the 18th? Last info for the Jan GTG was Sottovoce in Puerto Madero, Monday, January 18th at 8:30 pm. Did I miss something?

How about the 6th or 7th for dinner at La Dispensa? That is, however, weekend - would that work for you and DH, Avrooster ? Condu ?

I just realized we can't go on the 6th, so, as far as I am concerned, it would have to be on Sunday the 7th of February.

I'll make sure they are open Sunday evenings and we can make it a date.

I'll start saving money for those roses. LOL!!!

BTW, Marnie, I don't have a DH. Just kidding. More LOL!!

Don't worry MarnieWDC, we all make mistakes in our posts.
Our fingers just can't keep up with our thoughts.

La Despensa is closed Sunday evenings, which means we'll have to change the date (Feb. 7) or the venue.

Condu, Marnie, others?

Dinner February 7th works for us too. Perhaps AvRooster can think of another interesting venue ?

Or, we can try to find another date. But we are each travelling soon after the 7th, I think ?
