Guacho tours in Montevideo

Hi,
My sister will be on the Zaandam and wondered if there are any guacho tours for Montevideo. Can only find these for BA but they have other plans for this city. I would appreciate any assistance. They will be there on 8 December - I understand it is a public holiday.

I went to TripAdvisor and googled it .. Montevideo/Gaucho tours.
So much came up, I didn't know which one to show you so try to do that and see if you find something that might work.

Thanks Scarlett. I did that before asking the question here as I could not get anything like visiting an estancia with guacho show. They will have to do something else.

Henda:

This is the closest I could find to what you seem to be looking for:

Mind you, I'm NOT recommending it, just found it with Google.

SambaChula: spelling "guacho" instead of "gaucho" is a common mistake made by foreigners, which does NOT require a corrective post.

avroster, sorry to differ, but it's just respectful of the culture to take the time and effort to spell or pronounce correctly the language of the country to which you (or the person you are enquiring for) will be traveling.

I agree avrooster, there is no need for the superior attitude.

Perhaps I am missing something, but what does a definition of "Guache" have to do with anything.

Guache
Guacho

Gaucho
Guacho

Spelling totally changes the meaning.

My point is respect for the culture.
IMHO, "superior attitude" is what is expressed when someone considers it "inconvenient" to spend the national currency instead of dollars, or to obtain official permission to enter the other country, or to try to speak/spell correctly the language of the other country (but to put the effort on the other side, so they can be catered to in English), all of which is frequently part of posts here and on other forums.

I'd say we can agree to disagree on the subject.

Oh jeez, there needs to be a room for people to go to so they can let out all their superiority before posting.

Get over it, answer the question or don't but quit scolding and or complaining about it.
