Getting from Cuzco to Ollantaytambo or Urubamba after 6 PM
We are arriving to Cuzco by plane from Lima at 6 PM on Sept 6.
Is it going to be a problem getting a taxi to Ollantaytambo or Urubamba at that time?
The hotels in Ollantaytambo or Urubamba charge $60 and $80 respectively for pick up.
We are still deciding were to stay in Sacred Valley (Ollantaytambo or Urubamba) for couple of days before going to Maccu Picchu and then to Cuzco. Any advice on that?
Also, how can we get full Boleto Turistico while staying in Sacred Valley?
Thanks for advice and info.

It may well be a problem getting a cab to Ollantaytambo from the city as most drivers will want the chance of getting a fare back as well which is unlikely, but you will be able to get one the only question is, how much? The fares charged by most places in Ollantaytambo is 120 soles. If you are new to Peru and don't speak the language, I would be inclined to bite the bullet and get a pre arranged taxi to avoid any potential scams. There are minibuses and collectivos that will take you there for 10 soles but they leave from the city centre and I am not sure what time they finish. It is the best and cheapest way to get back to town though. 170 soles will buy you a trip back visiting some of the sights along the way.
Staying on Ollantaytambo where there is more to esee would be preferable to Urumbamba IMO. Apu Lodge has really nice rooms and would be my first choice, followed by Casa de Wow!!! but there is a lot of choice now.
You can get the Bolleto Turistico at any of the places you want to visit, it is a quick and painless procedure ( apart from the cost that is!)

Since you haven't booked yet, here's another option...stay in Pisac. It is not very far from Cusco but still lower in elevation. I don't think you'll have a big problem finding a taxi but the difference in fare is only about $20 for the cab arranged by most hotels (excluding Tambo del Inka which seems to generate complaints about their marked up transfer costs).

Thanks for the advice.
Any opinion on Picaflor Tambo in Ollantaytambo ?
It looks like there are 2 types of Bolleto Turistico : full one for ~ s. 130 which includes Cuzco and Sacred Valley and partial ones for Cuzco or Sacred Valley.
Do you know if they sell the full one in Ollanta?
We would prefer to stay in Ollantaytambo and visit Pisac to have an easy trip to MP.
