Cabs from the international airport

Could someone please tell me how much it will cost to take a cab from the international airport to our apartment in Palermo? We are trying to decide if we should pay the $43 dollars that the apartment would charge to pick us up.
Thanks,
ShaynaK

Taxi Ezeiza http://www.taxiezeiza.com.ar/ is the cheapest RELIABLE alternative for being driven into town and it costs 98 pesos, 40% less than what the apartment rental firm would charge you. As their website indicates, they have a "special" rate for when you leave, of 78 pesos.

There are other more expensive services, such as Manuel Tienda León http://www.tiendaleon.com.ar/home/home.asp who charges 141 pesos, which is also less than what you would be charged by your apartment rental company.

Would you share with this forum the name of the apartment rental company you are using, shaynak?

Taxi Ezeiza is good and so are the remiss that you can take from the airport, just when you walk out of the area where you got your luggage, there are the kioskos for VIP ( we used them and they were excellent!) and World Car ..
You can also email various people ahead of time and have them meet you at the airport..
www.silverstar.com is one.. he might be pricey though .. we use a private driver ..
I don't think $43 is so out of line.. but we haven't used a remiss since last year.

Just be sure NOT to use the taxis that are lined up at the curb outside.

In October we paid 100 pesos for pickup at EZE to Palermo. It is worth it to know that you have a driver that will take you where you are going. It can be difficult if you do not speak Spanish. We were travelling with friends and it required two taxis from AEP. Our taxi ride was 15 pesos and their taxi ride from AEP was 35 pesos. My advice take the service from the apartment rental company.

avrooster-

We are using ApartmentsBA.com. We have heard nice things about them and so far they have been quite nice to deal with.

However, you could ask them why they charge more than the most expensive service available at the airport, which is Manuel Tienda León. BTW, you can pay Manuel Tienda León with your credit card. I doubt you can pay the car your apartment rental company sends you with your credit card....

Have a great time in our country.

Agreeing with Scarlett and Avrooster.

The Remis services (Tienda Leon, World Car or VIP) all have English speakers at their stands in the airport. As does Taxi Exeiza. The advantages to the remis over Taxi Ezeiza we have found are: often better vehicles & less waiting time.

They are all fine services that you pay in the airport in cash or credit (as Avrooster says). You will also get a 20% discount for a return to the airport for your departure - be sure to request it. They will take your luggage (with you) out to your driver and he will have the information as to your destination. EASY! Have a great trip.
