Best Tour Company?

I would like to go to South America for a few weeks in January and was wondering what would be the best tour company to go with?
I am a 33 year old woman and traveling from Ireland.
I see on Toucan they have a budget and an adventure tour , is there much difference and which would is better?
Anyone even done the Andean Experience Toucan adventure tour?

Thanks

Any special reason you want a tour? I (older female) found it very easy to travel independently - click on my name for my TR.

Ah, I enjoy the research. You could take any tour brochure itinerary you like and use that as a base. Once you arrive somewhere on the toruist trail there will be a LOT of local companies competing to take people on day tours.

If you're looking for a cheaper option take a look at Oasis Overland. It's rough, lots of camping and hostels but it's very well organized and great for the price. I did their Ecuador to Brazil trip and loved it. They have a couple of shorter trips just through Peru that use local transport.
