Thank you, flygirl!

Great article, even though I disagree with the author on some points!

That could get me into DS. I'll think about it.

Well, here we go: the whole thing is extremely touristy, but what I dislike most is his page 7.

There are mistakes in it and he prominently mentions, almost recommends, at least one place he apparently hasn't been to, because he does not report about it in the previous pages.

Saying more would get me into DS, which I don't mind terribly, but prefer to avoid, if possible. LOL!!!!!

Sorry, didn't mean to ask something that would make you uncomfortable or get you in trouble. Appreciate your opinion and want to learn as much as I can before we go to BA next week. Guess I don't know about the "politics" of such things.

It's a matter of forum "politics". In this forum and even more so in other travel forums, such as Trip Advisor's, there are people who more or less subtly post to help their business. On TA, some of them have even been designated "Destination Experts", giving even more weight to their slanted opinions. When you say anything that could hurt their business, they sometimes get rather nasty and aggressive and I prefer to avoid this, UNLESS IT'S IMPORTANT, of course. A few years ago, I made it my business to expose one of them on TA. They ganged up on me and got TA to ban me. Obviously, there are other versions of this episode, but that is MY version and I have the e-mails to prove it. So, normally, I go by the Italian saying: "Soldate qui fuge, serve per altra volta". LOL!!!

Have a great time in our town with your DW, marshall. For Wyatt Earp (my kind of joke).

Interesting. Seems if a forum relies on opinions to help people learn, they would value a variety of thoughts . I appreciate your views and am pleased you post on Fodor's.

Looking forward to the visit but will leave my badge and six guns is the US.
