Absolutely tragic but I can't say I am surprised. I have been diving for 15 years all around the world and I have to say that the standard employed by most dive operations leave a lot to be desired (whichever association they are affiliated to). Many seem to adopt a very lax approach to dive safety. I would advise anyone to check the credentials and experience of dive operations very carefully.
Where was this womans dive buddy?
