Sorry, only in Spanish.
My forecast: the way we are going, our country is on its way to again being a terrific bargain for foreign visitors, as it was in 2002.

The numbers set forth in the third article, addressing tourism, are depressing. 22% fewer tourists and about 30% fewer reservations for mid to luxury hotels. So too are the descriptions of the fall off in related businesses.
On the economic front, however, La Nacion is on the conservative end of the spectrum. Are its conclusions similar, in other words, seeking to get voters to oust the Ks? Or, by and large most of the country feels similarly?

I was told, on a guided tour I took, that the current government is a bunch of criminals, and they will surely end up in jail when they are ousted. My understanding is that this relates to looting from the treasury (or something like that).
I was told by a couple of people about the government taking over private pensions. Can anyone familiar with Argentinian politics explain that one for me?

Tengohambre I know several people who live in blue collar neighborhoods in the south of Buenos Airesd. They read the less conservative Clarin,if they read at all. Their feelings about K mirror the attitudes described in La Nacion.

To say La Nacion is a "conservative" newspaper is an understatement. They have supported all kinds of right wing dictatorships and human rights abuses since their inception. I wouldn't believe anything they write, or I'll take everything they write with a grain of salt.
Dear WillTravel, I wouldn't believe
everything they tell tell me in the street about Argentina, at least about politics, the truth is somewhere in between...

In Argentina I believe politicians have since Peron obtained their power from the Unions. Is this true>? The so called Sindicatos have been, I believe, a pillar in the strength of the power Peronista party. Which in a way has brought into power the President and her husband. THis is a lesson to be learnt all over the world, I believe.

Might as well add an article here (in English), about the coin problem in Argentina:

WillTravel, about your "I was told by a couple of people about the government taking over private pensions. Can anyone familiar with Argentinian politics explain that one for me?", the explanation is quite simple: the government needed the money, so they took it with the OK of their henchmen in Congress.
Their majority in Congress is expected to be cut down in the next elections, so they are already saying they will be unable to run the country properly (LOL!!!!) without it.
