Several Alaska cruise questions

My wife and I are doing a 22-day Alaska trip with 15 land first and then 7 on RC Radiant of the Seas. We are both in our 70s but really active and want to see as much as possible. We presently have planned Helicopter with dog sledding, 3 train rides, 2 plane rides with a bear feeding, 2 glacier hikes, fishing trip, Denali bus trip, hot springs, duck boat ride, zip lining, several native visits, multiple random hikes, and walking visits to different towns. Our trip includes Anchorage, Denali, Fairbanks, Talkeetna, Homer, Seward with a rented SUV. Our cruise includes Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait, and Ketchikan. To some it may seem alot but thats how we love our vacation and looking for any suggestions to add to it.
2nd question is we will be stopping at Costco upon arrival to get water, and some food supplies. If we have leftovers such as water and opened food packages such as crackers. Can we bring them on the cruise line?
3rd question. I like to have my cell by the bed as an alarm but even with a suite I m told there arent any receptions near by. Also, i guess u cant use surge protectors or extension cords,
I really dont want to worry about charging my cell earlier in the day as we plan to be busy. Any alternative would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, in advance

I've never sailed on Royal Caribbean but have been on numerous other cruise lines and have never had any problem bringing a few bottles of water and snacks on board the ship. I doubt you'd have a problem on RC.

It's not unusual for there to be only a limited number of electrical outlets in the suites and/or staterooms on cruise ships. For what it is worth, all ships that I've been on do not allow you to leave any electronic devices plugged in when you are not in your room. Newer ships tend to have more outlets (both US and European style) and some even USB ports for charging devices. Contact your cruise line to find out how many and what style outlets are in your suite. If there are no suitable outlets by your bed you'll have to charge your phone somewhere else in the room.

I wouldn't worry about surge protectors. the electricity on ships is provided by the ship's generator. I've been on numerous cruises in the past 30+ years and have never experienced a power outage or power surge on any of my cruises.

Almost all of the ships I've been on had alarm clocks by the bed but if yours doesn't simply ask the Guest Services Desk (or your ship's equivalent) to give you a wake-up call on your room phone (there's always a phone next to the bed.

Enjoy your trip.

We loved the whitewater rafting up by Denali - we even got an amazing full mountain view (it's rare). Also loved Glacier Bay, Spruce Tip Beer in Skagway and the sea plane ride in Ketchikan over the mountains and down onto an uninhabited lake. With 22 days you'll have a blast!

Is there a reason why you can't charge your cell phone at night while you are sleeping?
