I'm trying to plan my first cruise which is also my honeymoon and have several questions!

I'm trying to plan our honeymoon and am having trouble deciding what cruise line is best for us. We are both 23, active, and prefer more casual to semi-formal rather than extremely fancy formal occasions. Celebrity cruise lines has been suggested but we are worried that it may be a little to "fancy" for us and don't want to feel out of place. Does anyone have any suggestions? We have looked at Royal Caribean, Princess, and Carnival. We are going in May(2002) so kids shouldn't be a concern with any of these I don't think. Also, is an itinerary with Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamiaca or an itinerary with Sanu Juan, Bahamas, and the US Virgin Islands the best?
I love Celebrity, but it is more dressy.
Have you looked into a Windjammer Cruise?

You might want to try either Carnival, Royal Carribbean, or Princess. Carnival ships are known as big party ships. Carnival is also less expensive than the others I have found. Being on a Honymoon I would also recommend a balcony if its within your budget. I have been on two carnival cruises. One with my boyfriend(with balcony) and one by myself (no balcony) I have also been to Cozumel. I work at a travel agency, and could send you brochures to help you decide if you like, email me and Ill get your address.
Its important to to always read the fine print in the brochures when chosing a cruiseline.

Hi. My husband and I cruise yearly and have been on more than a dozen cruises. Our ages are 31 & 34. We love Royal Caribbean. It is not too dressy, but is still casually elegant. It would be great for a romantic cruise. Both eastern and western itineraries are good, however, we prefer eastern, especially if it is your first cruise. The eastern ports are so beautiful and have great water activities and the shopping is better (if you are interested in that). NCL and Princess are also good, but we have been on RCCL 4 times and loved it every time.

We have gone on Royal Caribbean and loved it. We like the Western Caribbean route (Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios) because it gives a day at sea at the beginning and at the end (days at sea are fun and restful). The ports offer great things to do. Don't miss climbing Dunns River Falls in Ocho Rios and snorkling with the Sting Rays in Grand Cayman.
All the cruises have "formal and semi formal nights". this can be fun or a pain in the neck. We actually like dressing up. We get our "prom picture" taken".
There will be many other "homemooners" on the cruise and they will match you up with them for special cocktail parties etc.
Goood luck and congratulations.
