Leknes-Oslo-AMS Wideroe-KLM connection question
We are traveling from Leknes to Oslo on wideroe, then connecting to flight to Amsterdam (operated by KLM, owned by Delta) with about 2 hours 15 min in Oslo.
Because the wideroe and klm flights were ticketed separately, I assume we will need to pick up any checked bags in Oslo and then recheck with klm and go through security again (and passport control?)
Does anyone know how tight this will likely feel in Oslo? We were impressed with the efficiency of the Bergen airport when flying to Leknes, but have never been to Oslo.
We can pack in carryons (we did this on the way) but it is tight and some European airlines require me to check my bag because my “personal item”is larger than most Europeans use.

The time should be fine IF your Leknes > Oslo flight is on time. BUT I personally would never book this
AFAIK there is only one Widerøe flight a day. If it is delayed or cancelled you will be totally out of luck and neither DL or KLM will owe you anything. If it was me, I'd fly to Oslo the day before.
OR maybe even take the long (really looooooong) bus/train ride the morning prior - It takes about 24 hours.

Thanks- yes I know it’s risky and potentially foolish. But I can’t change that now!
My primary decision now is whether to work hard to pack in a carry on (with the risk I will have to check it anyway). If I think we can collect bags and recheck them in Oslo I’d rather do that, as we were bursting at the seams on the way here (I have a packable duffel to distribute things more easily for the return).
thank you!

I've never flown Widerøe and not sure what their cabin bag allowance is. But I assume they are smaller commuter-type planes so the overheads will be smaller. I'd definitely fly carry-on only but the bag may end up being gate checked. At some airports gate checked bags are delivered to the airbridge. But at some airports gate checks are sent to baggage claim so it wouldn't save you any hassle.
As I said -- IMO IF the flight is on time you'll have enough time, even with a checked bag. Since you already know this is a gamble maybe just relax and check the bag . . .
Or . . . Leknes is a small place but its is bound to have a post office. Maybe consider shipping a box of your stuff to your home. Then you can travel with a smaller carry on with just your essentials.
