East coast to Verona

Looking for recommendations for travel to Verona from the east coast.

Need to be in Verona sometime on August 30 to be picked up for a transfer to an agritourismo in the area (University alumni tour group)
Any recommendations?

Usual TA does not do airline searches
Return will be from Venice, so should be not a problem.
We are coming from Columbus OH and FTLL to meet in northeast to continue to Verona, if that makes any difference.

trying to fly across the Atlantic together will cause you more headaches than needed.

Wikipedia shows a list of airlines and cities that have direct flights to Verona airport.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verona...d_destinations

Of those listed, the only one I would use is Lufthansa / AirDolomiti. You could fly Lufthansa from Miami to Munich or Frankfurt, and on the same ticket use Lufthansa subsidiary Air Dolomiti into Verona. Look for flights on google flights, or book directly at lufthansa.com.

Your friend can either drive to Detroit, then fly Lufthansa to MUC or FRA, connecting to the same flight into Verona would be an option.

If your friend isn't close enough to drive to Detroit, they can do 2 stops through just about any US airport they want - Chicago, Newark, Washington DC. etc. and meet up with you in Europe.

Verona is around 2 hours by train from Milan Malpensa airport to Verona and it's around an hour by train or bus from Venice airport to Verona. If you're planning to return from Venice, I'd just buy round trip tickets to VCE and transfer to Verona by train or bus - around US$15.

Use Google Flights or Expedia to find the best air connections; you'll probably have to change planes once in North America and possibly a second change in Europe, but there will be plenty of options and alternatives both from Columbus and from FLL.
