Hawaiian Airlines Keeps Changing My Flights -- WITH NO NOTICE
About a month an ago, I noticed I had two flights listed for the same itinerary. When I called, they told me my original flight had been canceled and that they had rebooked me. I received no notice about this and the new flight left me with a connection that was too tight. I was able to get rebooked on a different flight.
Now, it has happened again -- with a different flight. I have not been able to reach them. I'm sure they are overwhelmed rescheduling flights to the West Coast as the storm approaches, and I have time.
I find it so odd that they arbitrarily change flights without notifying passengers. Other airlines have sent emails or texts when there have been any changes.
So ... WARNING. If you are booked on HA, be sure to periodically check your itinerary at their website.

When is the trip? Several airlines don't notify of changes that are far in the future but wait til closer to the date. This seems to have started during the height of covid when more flights were changed or cancelled than not.

Can you possibly think of what HA is doing changing flights to accommodate deliveries to Maui amidst the horrific loss there??? People are trying to leave the island and zillions of products and hundreds of rescue people still need to get there ASAP as the stages of recovery keep evolving. Seems pretty apparent to me!

Alice: Nope. This happened before the disaster on Maui. Notice that I stated that this happened a month ago ...

Today, I received a notice from AA that a flight is part of this same itinerary has been rescheduled. I'd think it would be automated.

I think it is more common when there is more than one airline involved. The same happened to me last year where flights were booked through AA but involved connecting flights AA/BA. AA explained to me that BA was "batching" up changes and reporting them to AA only once a month. AA was reporting to customers of course only when they knew about them.
