I will be celebrating my 70th birthday in Vancouver with my husband and my two sons (both in their 30s) and their girlfriends. I have never been to Vancouver before and I'm excited. I'm looking for restaurant recommendations for the actual birthday dinner. I'm open to different types of cuisine--just looking for great food, great atmosphere and perhaps a spectacular view. Pricey is okay.

Consider Seasons in the Park at Queen Elizabeth Park.

For seafood, The Sandbar at Granville Island is lovely.

The better restaurants in the city generally don’t have views, but the two above are classic special occasion view restaurants.
