Quebec Canada 10 day road trip. Suggestions on scenic itinerary
Could you please suggest scenic itinerary for about 10 days starting in Quebec City? Would love to visit small towns, wineries, beautiful places in late August.
Thank you,
Michael

Quebec is huge, but the two areas that are often recommended are the Charlevoix area which is a few hours northeast of Qubec City, and the eastern townships which are south of Quebec City, close to the US border. Charlevoix is very beautiful, great for hiking, whale watching and exploring the little villages along the St Lawrence. Tadoussac and Baie-Saint-Paul are nice little town as a base. The Eastern Townships are made up of farmland, mountains, and lakes. The biggest attractions here are wineries and road bicycling. There are several nice towns - Magog, Sutton and Bromomt.

The Chemin du Roy which runs from Quebec City toward Montreal on the northern side of the St. Lawrence is an interesting historic route.

If you are a fan of Louise Penny mysteries, you should check out the area around Knowlton in the Eastern Townships where she lives

Hello Michael, I've found a couple of good ideas for self-drive road trips in Canada. There is something about Quebec too!
