Help?

My parents are trying to plan a trip for the whole family. The parents live in Atlanta, but my sisters family and my family live here in Houston TExas whereas my other sister lives in Philadelphia. So my parents want to try to do a vacation here in Texas so that the majority of us can drive. They want to rent a house for a week where we can all stay in it. We will have a total of five children (5,3, 2 (9months) and 1 (6 month old). Where in Texas can we vacation besides the beach since we come from Pensacola and love those beaches? We are planning a trip for Sept. / Oct. time frame? Any advice would be helpful for I don't even know where to begin.
Thanks!

San Antonio and the Hill Country should be pretty at that time of year.

How about New Braunfels. It is centrally located between Austin and San Antonio and in the heart of hill country.
There is a water park/resort called Schlitterbahn that is voted year after year as the best waterpark in the world. They actually invent most water rides in the world. Adults and children enjoy it.

Another good thing for you about Schlitterbahn is that they have all sizes of lodging, including full size houses.

I second New Braunfels. You can see other cities easily from there on day trips. River riding is a lot of fun there, and Schlitterbahn is a great family place, too.

I'm sure this message is now of no use to you...but if it isn't, ignore SUE's suggestion. Sue is strung out on crack or just plain stupid if she thinks Waco is enjoyable.

WACO? Sue is on crack. Sorry, but unless you attend Baylor or just got an invite out to the Crawford ranch, there is no reason to go to Waco. If you are in the hill country; Austin, New Braunfels, Fredicksburg, San Antonio, ect..are much better places to visit.

calm down folks. Amy is from Texas and probably knows Sue was pulling her leg. You'd have to be living in a cave not to know about Waco.
