Definitely visit the Alhambra at night if you can. It's a magical experience.

I agree with Eloise about Alhambra at night--it's very magical (as it is in the day if you can overlook the crowds).

I haven't gone to Morocco, but I've heard negative things about Morocco as a day trip (have heard you have to get further in to the country for it to be worthwhile).

Also, with children, they might enjoy the caves in Ronda (we did as adults).

I agree wiht Eloise and artlover..the Alhambra at night is fabulous.

I can't say anything much as I havent been there but ran into several people that had less than stellar experiences there. it would seem its a long way to go for a daytrip.

Gibraltar...depends why you are even considering it. The history and all is interesting but there is really very little to see. On a clear day you can see Africa. You could hike up the rock. Gibraltar more than anything else is a duty free zone so its mobbed with shoppers. Take the tour that the local cab drivers offer (about 1 hour and a quarter) and see the apes etc. I personally would probably not go too far out of my way to see Gibraltar.

Im glad to see you are going to Grazalema. do make sure to write about it a bit when you come back. I only passed through there on my way to Ronda and would have loved to have had time to stay.

We just came from 12 wonderful days in Andalucia.
We loved Seville.
We also went to Codoba and Granada.
We really enjoyed Alhambra Palace hotel. Ask for room #407. It has a great big terrace with a view of Granada.
We booked the evening tour and it was really nice.
It is really a very good idea to get your tickets ahead of time and get the 8:30 am tickets.
Have fun.
Sue.
