Day trip to Morocco from Tarife
I have 3 possibly 4 open days in our 3 week adult only trip in June. Any suggestions on "must sees" between Granada and Jerez? How difficult/safe is a day trip to Morocco?

I would look for day trips between 1-1/2 hrs drive from Granada so that you have less travelling time and more sightseeing time. Can't suggest anything cos my trip is centered around the western part of Andalusia. However, if you are willing to make the drive, then try Ronda and a couple of the white villages near it. And what about Cordoba?

Between Granada and Jerez you have,
Cordoba, Sevilla, as major sites and a lot of "minor" Ubeda,Baeza,Arcos, just to mention a few.
IMMO ,Forget Morroco for a day. Ship across the strait is normaly shaky, and you have to do it twice.

Thank you all for responding, I've decided to skip Morocco. I will in Cordoba before Granada, Seville after Jerez and Ronda is on our list. We are travelling by car. How about Marbella, Malaga, Gilbraltar? Any suggestions on a hotel in Granada or info in general about Granada? St Cirq, because of your screen name I stopped in St Cirq while traveling through France last year and was in awe of the beauty there... also had one of the best meals ever. Thank you!!!

Hi, rexpuppy.
I appreciate your making a stop on my account, but it's impossible for you to have had any kind of meal in MY St-Cirq, unless the neighbors invited you in, as there is absolutely no commerce there.
I assume you're talking about St-Cirq-Lapopie, which is a couple of hours south of me. There are more than a dozen St-Cirqs in France, by my last count.
If you ever find yourself in the Dordogne, though, and want to check it out, it's the St-Cirq between Le Bugue and Les Eyzies.
Happy travels.

Hi REXPUPPY
You asked for recs for hotels in Granada. I had bookmarked this hotel recommended by Maribel of Maribel's Guides
Known as a "Carmen", There is also a thread on these here just do a search.
It's now on my list to try:
