Restaurants in Madrid
Looking for suggestions for a couple of restaurants in Madrid. We like anything from good street food to 5 star experiences & everything in between.
TIA

I don't have time to write a list right now, but take a look at these reports from my recent trips and see if anything looks good.
Besides the places in Retiro (east of the park), I like:
MANDUCA DE AZAGRA
TASQUITA DE ENFRENTE (read reviews; some people are very put off by this place but I like it a lot and have a feeling you will as well)
SACHA (hard to book)
LUA

Here's a thought for something special: My husband and I booked the "Botin Experience" tour, and it was amazing. Botin is supposedly the oldest restaurant in Europe (along with many others that make that claim), and most people just line up there for lunch without knowing the first thing about the restaurant's incredible history. But with this tour, we met a guide who took us in the building before the lunch crowd and walked us through the history across three floors (and the kitchen) and then seated us at the table of our choice (right next to Hemingway's) for a fixed price lunch. We loved it.

Just returned from Madrid. Great steaks at Askuabarra )Calle Arlaban 7). Had dinner with Maribel and her husband.
Also enjoyed Vinoteca Moratín (C. de Moratín, 36) Chef came out to explain the menu. Try the Roasted tomato soup with goat cheese delicious. Fresh cod souvida with eggplant and red peppers was perfect. Good wine selection.
Lastly, Marcelle (C. de la Fúcar, 2). cuisine of the Basque region of France. small restaurant. Very good. Small menu. wife was the server and husband manned the grill.
For lunch, tapas at Cerveceria Cervantes (Pl. de Jesús, 7) Recommended by our bartender at the hotel.
Stop by Viva Madrid (C. de Manuel Fernández y González, nº 7) for drinks. Didn't eat there, but gets rave reviews
Have fun!

Thanks, Revulgo..I had read that recently...
Another one I like a lot is LA CASTELA--small, casual
https://restaurantelacastela.com
And, LAKASA
https://lakasa.es/menu/
And: TABERNA LAREDO. https://tabernalaredo.com
You have to book ahead for any of those
I see that I recommended TASQUITA DE ENFRENTE above....do a lot of reading about that restaurant if you are considering...I like it a lot but opinions are very varied....people seem to either love it or despise it.....the restaurant critic mentioned, above, Alberto Luna, seems to love it:

I want to try GOFIO, for the food of the Canarias....maybe take a look??? But it's tasting menu only..from 85e...
