Recommendations for Johannesburg

Hi all,

I'm heading to Johannesburg in August. Any recommendations for day trips or things to do/see?

We will spend 4 days in Kruger and have another 4 days in Johannesburg. We are thinking about the Cradle of Humankind, a day trip to Pretoria, and maybe a day trip to another national park.

Thanks,
John

Apartheid Museum?

I always spend an hour or two in the gallery when I am in the city:

I've never been to Pretoria; is there something interesting there that you want to see/visit?

Thanks for your tips. I will have a look at the Apartheid museum. The main appeal of Pretoria is that it is another Capital City of South Africa - what exactly is there I'm not too sure.

Ok, I get it, but do check before you go to Pretoria. I've heard pretty bad things from people who live in Johannesburg, but I've never been there except to the airport, so I don't know...

Are you trying to do lots of capitals?? That's interesting!! Have you been to any others in Africa??
