Exploring Alentejo and the Northeast Mountains
This will be our third, slow travel excursion to Portugal, and we plan to focus on the Alentejo and the northeast region.
We do plan to spend 5-6 nights in Evora...enjoying the town and surrounding areas (Monsaraz, Estremoz, Elvas, etc.)
However, I'm not sure where to stay for 4-5 nights to enjoy places such as Castelo de Vide, Parque Natural da Serra de São Mamede, Monsanto, Marvao, Castelo Branco,etc.
Is Marvao too small for such a stay? Is Monsanto a bit out of the way?
We typically use apartment rentals (AirBnB, VRBO) for our stays.
I've become a bit frustrated in trying to determine this myself, so
Any thoughts or suggestions on this travel would be greatly appreciated..
