Terrible Flooding in Italy

Tracy just sent me this. The city of Ravenna has also been heavily affected. “It’s probably been the worst night in the history of Romagna,” Ravenna Mayor Michele de Pascale told RAI public radio according to Reuters, saying that 5,000 people had been evacuated from his city alone overnight.
“Ravenna is unrecognizable for the damage it has suffered,” he added.
Hope our Fodor's friends in the areas affected are alright.

But don't believe that the whole country is under water. It's just the Eastern part of Emilia-Romagna and the Northern part of Marche.

Truly, heartbreaking. I am so sad for the terrified residents and the loss of their homes and businesses. I also, worry about the tourists, who were caught off guard by these floods. It sounds like help is having a difficult time reaching everyone.
