Thanks for the heads, Rubicund, though I have to say that I'm unlikely to make it this year. Fortunately we have lots of Christmas markets here in Cornwall though nothing like the Manchester one by the sound of it.

Ann, the Manchester one (normally multi spaced) is good with the best artists dropping by but then you have the Guild of Ten in Truro, and some great places in Devon etc so you're probably not missing much

I had a piece stolen from the house in the last couple of weeks and the Guild dug through their receipts for me (3 years) to send my a copy for my insurance.. Can't get that at a Christmas Market

Sorry to hear about your theft, Bilbo but kudos to the Guild for helping out! As you say probably not the level of service you'd get at a market. And yes there are some great places here; the galleries at Trelissick and Trelowarren being my two personal favourites. Also the Penlee Gallery in Penzance also has a Christmas sale some years.

For anyone who happens to be in the Cambridge - Newmarket area, Presents Galore is held at the end of November every year at the Rowley Mile Newmarket racecourse.
