We did the USO tour and found it fascinating and extremely well organised. Our guide was good, if a little biased. Some info and photos on our blog @ https://accidentalnomads.com/2015/07...ized-zone-dmz/

I tried to book the USO tour but got an email from Koridoor saying "Unfortunately, All the JSA tours have been temporary on hold due to operation reason by UNCMAC.".
Does anyone know what this means? Does this happen often? I am being encouraged to sign up for the half day tour instead but to me, visiting without seeing the JSA pretty much defeats the whole purpose. Is it even worthwhile to go for the half day tour?

I think it happens from time to time. Maybe it is something to do with Kim Jong-un going to visit Putin, maybe Donald is about to impose more sanctions. Who knows?
I wouldn’t bother with a half day tour. If your trip is a while away, maybe wait and try again in a few weeks.
