We've just returned from the Dominican Republic and instead of staying in resorts we did an awesome road trip from Santo Domingo to Bahia de las Aguilas (Close to the border with Haiti).
It was a little bit difficult to reach but what a reward! Crystal clear water, satin soft sand and barely anybody around.
