Shubie - You could fly into Madrid and take the high-speed train to Barcelona in a few hours and then take high-speed train from there to Montpellier- quicker than flying perhaps and you see some lovely scenery. then by rental car or trains to other places and fly home from Marseilles, Lyon, Nice, etc. Book trains early for nice discounts on fares - www.seat61.com is THER source on info of doing that yourself online - general train info and where to go by them - www.ricksteves.com and BETS-European Rail Experts.
