Lopburi and Saraburi are known for sunflowers.
If you want to see an amazing variety of orchids, you can check out Air Orchid, in Nakom,Pathom.

Well, different kinds of flowers in different places. Many years ago - back in the late 1980s - I visited an orchid farm outside of Chiang Mai where they grew the big sprays of orchids you see everywhere. Your question may have been too general for anyone to answer.

I saw many fields with protective plastic covers, like tunnels, covering hillsides along the slopes of Doi Inthanon. I suspect the cooler weather of the higher slopes could promote flower growing. I don't know if people populations there are large enough to support very big fields. Take Hiway 1009 from Chomthong to Khun Klang, and beyond.

If still in Chiangmai, Krisidadoi would offer some great gardens to check out. It's not "fields", but it offers great variety of flowers, plants and landscaping

I checked that website, Curt. Odd that nearly all the flowers are 'western'. Like, tulips, mums, zinnia, marigold, etc. Not claiming all above originated in the west but are not native tropical flowers. I see many fabulous flowers, and viney floral plants during my walks round Chiang Mai. And the tropical fruit pods, big leathery things and winged balls, are really imaginative.

Near to Chiang Mai there are some fields but high up in the mountains (Doi). Here's a good magazine article in English that you might find interesting: http://www.thaiwaysmagazine.com/thai..._paradise.html
Not mentioned in the article and with a good collection, fields and gardens, of flowers near to Chiang Mai:
1. Doi Ang Khang Royal Agricultural Station.
2. Bhubing Palace.
3. Boonrawd Farm near Chiang Rai will eventually have a lot of flowers.
4. Thai "Cherry Blossom", very seasonal, found around the mountains of Pai, Doi Ang Khang, Baan Khun Chang Kiang. Very pretty but hard to get to.
There are some sunflower fields but they are not as nice as those in the States.
