Last minute road trip, 10/7-10/10. Fav color tours in WI or the UP?

Wondering where to head w/ our bikes from Chicago for our 28th anniversary.

Have a busy week and not much time to research. Also have scoped out michigan.org color tours. I'm hoping for some help... what are your favs?

Seriously considering Menominee-Escanaba-Manistique tour. OR Bayfield, WI.

Any recs for restaurants, lodging, bike trails?

Thanks much!

Plan a fall getaway in Michigan, where you can enjoy ... Autumn only sharpens the beauty of Traverse City, adding ... Entertainment Venues; Lumberman's Monument Visitor Center

Thanks for the responses.

We head to Door Co often, so we're thinking further north. Peak color should be good in Eastern UP.

Any weigh in on Menominee, Escanaba, Manistique??

With your timing, the UP makes sense. That area has just been coming on. Those towns are fine, but I would lean more toward the Lake Superior side of the Peninsula.

Either the Porcupine Mountains, Lake of the Cloud and some of the Keweenaw; or Munising, Pictured Rocks and Tahquamenon Falls.
