We didn't have a kitchenette, so I'm not sure if they've udated them or not. We really loved that Holiday Inn though.

Thanks, it's been a little odd. We're starting to plan our next adventures, but I'm so used to planning with/around Dad that I'm not always sure where to start.

I know that feeling. I was so tuned in to what he'd want/ need that it was a huge adjustment after he was gone. About 2 on Sunday afternoons, I'd start to get up to check to see what he wanted/ needed to do that afternoon...and then pause and sit back down. I still find myself watching people on walkers and in wheelchairs and start to help them negotiate an obstacle...and realize they are complete strangers and they can deal on their own. Our only trips were driving trips to his favorite place for a quick getaway. You'll find a new rhythm.

Re kitchenettes - I thought they may have taken them out. I really need to head back to the beach!
