Trip Itineray for San Diego and Cabo San Lucas
We are planning a trip from Florida to San Diego for three nights then off to Cabo San Lucas for four nights. Does anyone have suggestions on airlines and where to stay?

What kind of place are you looking for in Cabo? There are ALL kinds of places from inexpensive local style Mexican hotels downtown, condos in the Marina, fancy resorts on Solmar and Medano beach, the entire "tourist Corridor". Los Cabos is a bit tricky that way, it really helps if you can get a map of the area and check out the location of: the airport, San Jose del Cabo, the Corridor, and Cabo San Lucas.
I'd use whichever airline is flying that route and has the best price. I used Aeromexico last time but it's since quit that route (I'm in Seattle).

You can take the Tijuana Trolley right to the border - then taxi to Airport. Log on to Tijuana Airport for flights. Suze is correct. You'll need to log on to one of the locations down there for lists of accommodation. Although it's nowhere near Cabo you might take a note of The Rosarito Beach Hotel (in Rosarito near Tijuana) just in case it proved useful.

In the most general terms, not knowing anything about what you want... I suggest you pick a hotel on Medano Beach, which is the main and only swimmable beach that is right in the town of Cabo.

Just checked the Tijuana schedules as I use the airport for Mazatlan. Like all flying these days it's difficult to be precise re fares/times but I confirmed what I learned last year that these new low cost airlines offer a CONSIDERABLE saving over Aeromexico. They are great to fly with and use Airbuses and similar. One actually served free drinks!
The flights I checked Tij/Los Cabos were Volaris about $300 round trip and Aeromexico about $500 --- and with the latter you had to go via Mexico City.
I'd be interested to know if it's easier/cheaper to go via Lax (i.e. journey from San Diego) and then Alaska Airlines etc. I did check Aeromexico/Lax and it was $600+ and again involved going via Mex. City.
