Riu Playacar or Aventura Spa Palace
Has anyone stayed at both or seen both? I'm having trouble deciding. Although my travel agent recommends either she is saying the Aventura might be too big and too far from the town of Playa del Carmen (we couldn't walk). Would one even want to go to Pdc more than 1x? Please help. Thanks

Just from having driven by, and looked in, the Aventura Spa looks more upscale. But it is out of town, definitely not walkable to PDC.
The Riu Playacar looks very mid-level.
The Riu Palace looked beautiful.
I'm not sure how often you'd want to go to PDC, but we loved it, though I'd stay away from 5th ave. by the ferry. (The area closest to Playacar).

Hi there!
I've booked my honeymoon at Aventura Spa Palace in PDC. I can't wait!
Here's the company's web site for more information:
www.palaceresorts.com
It has great info and beautiful pictures! Plus, when you are a guest at one of the Palace Resorts, you can visit and use all the amenities of the other resorts.
For instance, we want to visit Cancun for a day. When we go up there, we can use the beach, pool, and all the restaurants of the three Palace Resorts up there.
It's a nice way to visit the other areas without having to be on your own for food and drinks. That way you get more out of paying the "all inclusive" price...rather than being tied down to one hotel/resort.
Just some info! Good luck!
