place for lunch stop

Driving from Tamarando to Jaco in mid Feb.Any suggestions on a place to stop for a lunch break ? I can't find anything interesting in the Guidebook.Just a nice meal, and possibly a glass of wine.

Thanks a lot. I visited Villa Caletas a couple of years ago. Great views with good food. Anything north of there that you can recommend ?

Fiesta del Mariscos is south of the Tarcoles. (If you recall the former Steve and Lisa's on the beach, it is just south of that). Mariscos is on the beach, more typical Costa Rican cuisine, fantastic pescado dishes, great seafood soup, probably the best pescado entero I've had in some time. Yes, they have wine too! (chilean or something, you wouldn't find it in Wine Spectator but it drinkable) It's difficult to beat Villas Caletas but for typica CR, I really like Fiesta del Mariscos! Lisa
