Costa Rica - need lodging help!

My partner and I will be traveling to Costa this January. This is our second trip to Costa Rica, we previously visited the Osa peninsula. We are flying into Liberia airport, and are looking for "non-resort" modest but comfortable lodging, that is set in the national park - surrounded by natural setting. The fancy amenities aren't important to us, but cleanliness is. We will have a a rental car, so transportation is not an issue. Can anyone recommend a suitable place for us to stay for a week? Our interests are hiking, swimming, zip lining, and kayaking.

Thank you for any help you can give!
Becca
